NEW IN // SETCHU

New to Salvatore Schito this season:

LVMH 23 Winner Satoshi Kuwata designer of SETCHU

Japanese designer Satoshi Kuwata, a former collaborator of rapper Kanye “Ye” West and the founder of label Setchu, is the winner of the 2023 LVMH Prize. Kuwata’s global background – he is a graduate of London’s Central Saint Martins, and has worked on London’s Savile Row and Italy besides his native Japan – reflects the international range of this year’s finalists, who came from countries such as Jamaica, Ukraine and the US.

His Label Setchu was established in Milan. The brand name “SETCHU” comes from a Japanese word “Wayo Setchu” written 和洋折衷. With “Wayo” denoting Japan and the West and “Setchu” meaning compromise, the brand represents the blending of Japanese and Western concepts. The fusion of two diverse cultures creates something new from something familiar. With inspiration taken from classic objects, Setchu creates simple and functional garments through this fusion.

The collection was created as a UNI SEX Collection with sizes 1 & 2.

High quality fabrics & detailed craftsmanship can be seen on every garment.

Now availbale at Salvatore Schito.
